So here are six spring outfits I want to be wearing immediately, if not sooner. I also paired them with some of my most favorite beauty products since the Sephora Sale is going on now and we all need to hop on that…

This is such a timeless, cool look that will never look dated. Chanel inspired without the Chanel price tags- but the same feel. This jacket is amazing and these flats are only $82! I also am very eager to try Emerson Fry’s denim!

With the warmer weather I want to be hiking more- especially with this look (I’ve been dying for this raincoat for weeks). And this face glow suncreen is a MUST.

Spring break is next week for us so this whoooooole situation needs to come with my to Naples. Adore the one piece with equestrian print, and the sandals and bag don’t break the bank! The Gucci Westman bronzing drops are a MUUUUUST. Trust me.

A no brainer everyday outfit that is both comfortable and classically chic. This dress is a no-wrinkle linen, the jacket and bag are Quince and SO affordable and of course my most favorite eyeshadows ever (colors Cashew, Beige, Sakura, Wood, Cedar and Chestnut are my faves).

For a day on the court (or the greens) and then maybe a quick cocktail after, this whole look is so fun- the dress is beyond cute, toss the sweater over your shoulders of course. The sunnies are cheap and some of my faves for activewear.

For an evening look that will leave you comfy (and with room to indulge and relax) this dress is so beautiful (note the big bow at the neck in the back!) This Chris McMillan wand is so genius for pulled back styles to keep frizz and whispies controlled.

Fashion Friday: Packing For Spring Break https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-packing-for-spring-break-2/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-packing-for-spring-break-2/#comments Fri, 03 Apr 2026 15:42:57 +0000 https://elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=64388 In a couple weeks we will be heading down to Naples for spring break. A quick and easy getaway (excited to stay at the new Four Seasons there) with the kids to get some sun and sand. Super low pressure, which is what I need in a vacation right now. Here are some things I either AM packing (or am actively thinking about buying to pack) for this trip. A mix of dressy, casual and easy to mix pieces. Shop everything HERE, and check out my resort saves as well for a bigger selection.

  • Of note- that cute zebra bikini- it’s from Aerie which is all 30% off right now! I looooove their sweats too and am grabbing a couple more sets for spring.

New Dudley Stephens Collab! https://elementsofstyleblog.com/dudley-stephens-collab-part-2/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/dudley-stephens-collab-part-2/#comments Thu, 29 Jan 2026 15:10:00 +0000 https://elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=62538 Part 2 from our collaboration with Dudley Stephens is now live! This French Terry Park Slope (the OG Dudley Stephens silhouette but in a light sweatshirt material) in black with camel stripes is an instant closet staple. Can be dressed up or down, is comfy and cozy but not too heavy – I just love it!

Also, we hear you on the leopard print Finlay pullover – we are hoping to restock later this year and even introduce a few tweaks to the designs – hope to have more to share on that soon! In the meantime, it looks like there are a few of the Kids Wellesley Pullover left!

Can you EVEN??

My Dream Collab with Dudley Stephens! https://elementsofstyleblog.com/my-dream-collab-with-dudley-stephens/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/my-dream-collab-with-dudley-stephens/#comments Sat, 18 Oct 2025 12:07:22 +0000 https://elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=55520 Molly here – jumping in for Erin while she takes some time away. We’re sharing some exciting news today – our collaboration with Dudley Stephens is now live! You can shop the Finlay Pullover in Sherpa Fleece and the Kids Wellesley Pullover now.

From Erin: “I have worn Dudley Stephens for years, and when they approached me about a collaboration I was thrilled not only to create pieces I felt were missing from my wardrobe, but also make it a family affair, with a stylish option for Emma!

Anyone who has followed me knows I have a deep and true love for animal print, leopard specifically, so doing a fabulous pop-over sherpa fleece that felt elevated to wear with jeans or just level up your athleisure felt obvious!”

As soon as the samples came in, Erin and Emma had to do a little photoshoot to document their matching moment :)

The Beans cameo we all need.
Can you EVEN??
I love the cut of this style – the fitted sleeves paired with a boxier fit, slightly cropped, with elastic cuffs and gold snaps on the collar – just perfect!

In the next few weeks, we’ll be sure to share more ideas on how to style the fleece, and we’ll be launching another design :) In the meantime, make sure to grab yours before they sell out!

Fashion Friday: Tour Ready https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-tour-ready/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-tour-ready/#comments Fri, 01 Aug 2025 20:13:14 +0000 https://elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=55458 Stay tuned next week when I will be announcing my currently confirmed book tour stops for the fall- which means mama needs some outfits. 15 to be exact. YOINKS.

I started saving things I think will be good for this tour- which is going to be more on the casual side, but I try not to wear jeans to any of my signings and treat it like the event it is. This isn’t everyday stuff, after all. October and early November the temps will range from possibly rather chilly in the Northeast to still warm down south so I need layers and options. Also I get real “anxious-sweaty” during signings, so short sleeves or sleeveless is preferred. :) Here are some things I have my eye on- especially the coral suede set (ordering now) and the Veronica Beard vest-suit situation (two of my signing stops are at VB stores-yay!). Let the ordering commence!

Fashion Friday: Fall Outerwear Looks with Evereve https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-fall-outerwear-looks-with-evereve/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-fall-outerwear-looks-with-evereve/#comments Wed, 30 Oct 2024 15:56:30 +0000 https://elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=55134 Coats and outerwear are my obsession living in the northeast – I have so many and always am looking for more. I found these two new pieces on Evereve that are two styles I’m very into right now – plaid wool toppers and faux fur ANYTHING. A jacket or vest is a great way to add extra style to a very basic outfit- such as these two simple all black looks I’m wearing here.

This plaid coat caught my eye immediately – the combination of warm and cool tones of sienna and cobalt looks SO fresh and new. I also LOVE these gold cap toe mary janes – they are so comfy straight out of the box.

Beans wanted to pop in and say hi to you all as well :)

This second look is perfect for a simple dinner out or drinks with girlfriends. And let me tell you… I am a bit of a faux fur connoisseur, and this vest is the best I have ever seen. I honestly was concerned it was real rabbit when I got it. It would look amazing with anything this fall – jeans and sneakers even. And these boots are fantastic and a great price- comfy but with height and a perfectly pointed toe.

This lace tee is actually lightly lined in the body so it’s slightly sheer but not totally see through, which is nice. A fun piece to layer with!

Talk about something right in my wheelhouse… leopard is BIG this season, with so many labels crafting everything from shoes to dresses and kids clothing all in the perennially chic pattern. As one of my favorite all time patterns this thrills me to no end. So I had to do a round up of all things leopard!

The number of things here Emma is getting/already has is… overwhelming. :)

Transitioning to Fall with Saks https://elementsofstyleblog.com/transitioning-to-fall-with-saks/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/transitioning-to-fall-with-saks/#comments Thu, 31 Aug 2023 13:12:05 +0000 https://www.elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=51505
Florals and stripes are a perfect combo.

Here we go – goodbye summer and hello fall. Kind of. With temps swinging from 50’s to 80’s here it’s hard to know how to dress, but one thing is true during this time of year: a transitional sweater is key – especially in stripes! I’ve been seeing tons of brands pushing out striped sweaters for this fall and being a stripes LOVER, I had to jump on this “trend” (although to me, stripes are always a classic). I’ve paired one from Rag & Bone here with both cute cut offs and a floral skirt and tank– both which are great for this season.

And here it’s paired with a floral skirt, simple tank and a great pair of (shockingly) comfy denim espadrilles. Pop the sweater on when it gets chilly and it looks great too!

SHOP THE POST:

Here is a roundup of some other fantastic transition sweaters from Saks. I am personally dying for this deep green cashmere cardigan from Veronica Beard to layer over slip dresses or pair with jeans and boots!

Fashion Friday: The Fancy Sweatshirt https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-the-fancy-sweatshirt/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-the-fancy-sweatshirt/#comments Fri, 09 Oct 2020 16:48:54 +0000 https://www.elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=39735

OUTFIT 1: Sweatshirt // Scarf // Leggings // Booties // Earrings

OUTFIT 2: Sweatshirt // Jeans // Flats // Earrings

Lately I have been ALLLLLLLL about being comfy, like many of you.  It’s one of the bonuses of the pandemic/ work from home situation we find ourselves in these days. But I am not one to wear gym clothes all day, it doesn;t make me feel great about myself. I prefer to look slightly put together WHILE being comfy.  So I kind of live in what I like to call “fancy sweatshirts”, jeans and flats.  I know Champion and other 90’s staple sweatshirts are back in fashion thanks to the “VSCO girl” style (I have no idea what that is, I just know it’s a thing and it involved big sweatshirts), but these are sweatshirts for grown ass ladies. :) Above are two outfits that illustrate the idea (I’m actually wearing a combo of these right now) and below are a bunch of great options- from pricier “high fashion” to Target.

Fashion Friday: Looking Forward to Fall! https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-looking-forward-to-fall/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-looking-forward-to-fall/#comments Fri, 09 Aug 2019 16:02:45 +0000 https://www.elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=38488 I know some of you will lament my excitement about fall, but while I’m not wishing summer away, I’m also SO EXCITED for fall clothes. Okay, everything fall. it’s my favorite season by miles. I am seeing a lot of fall clothing come online and already noticing trends popping up– the biggest being crocodile textured shoes and bags, straight leg jeans,  tons of animal print of all kinds and looser, cozier silhouettes. And I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT.

I also noticed a palette forming and looked back at the fall 2019 runways and sure enough, there it was. There will be SO much burnt umber, camel, deep reds, navy, pale blues and even peachy tones (particularly mixed with the umber, reds and navy).  This is a great combination because you can make your more summer pastel tones fall appropriate by mixing them with the richer tones.

Here are some amazing finds for fall you can pick up now. Of note:

*I bought the snakeskin pants from J.Crew and they are an AWESOME fit. Great with a tee and sandals now or sweater and loafers later!
*If you haven’t tried a Dudley Stephens fleece yet, nows the time to buy them as they just restocked and come fall will be hard to get.
*Get a bodysuit for layering in the fall (I love wearing one under belted sweaters and cardfigans)- but also amazing with skirts now while it’s warm.
*The Frame Le High Straight jean is such a personal favorite (top right).

Fashion Friday: Current Fave Beauty Buys https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-current-fave-beauty-buys/ https://elementsofstyleblog.com/fashion-friday-current-fave-beauty-buys/#comments Fri, 16 Feb 2018 16:04:08 +0000 https://www.elementsofstyleblog.com/?p=35831 Many of you recently asked about my current favorite beauty products and so I thought I’d share those today. I tend to re-purchase only a few things because I love testing new stuff (especially when it comes to foundation, concealer, blush and mascara!) Here are the best of the best right now:

SHOP:

The deets:

  1. This lipgloss (in Red Currant) is a super sheer red/pink that just makes your lips look healthy and happy.
  2. My most fave concealer right now.
  3. I got a sample of this foundation and really like it- it’s super lightweight but covers a lot and has a matte finish.
  4. I also just finally tossed by drugstore hairdryer in the guest bath and treated myself to the Harry Josh hairdryer and it’s GREAT! Not to mention compact, light and pretty. And 20% off right now!
  5. Chanel makes such nice makeup, and this blush in Rosewood is a fantastic staple that looks fresh and natural.
  6. I’m on my second bottle of this daytime moisturizer– it feels great on my skin and has SPF 30.
  7. My FAAAAAAVE face wash. Also on my second huge bottle. Adore the smell, my skin feels clean but moisturized and it’s all natural.
  8. Another fave Tammy Fender product– this is like a mini-facial. You put it on like a mask and let it sit for 5 minutes and then wash your fact with it (it’s a fine grain scrub). Glowy skin in minutes!
  9. This handwash is luxe but smells so good….
  10. And the hand sanitizer version is insanely yummy. No alcohol smell or dryness. Awesome treat for this terrifying flu season.
  11. Such a great mascara. It keep selling out for a reason. Plus Wander is cruelty free which I love.
  12. I never use eyeliner pencils or markers- only a wet skinny angled brush and Laura Mercier cake liner (14.)  It creates the cleanest line in my opinion.
  13. This milky serum creates such a soft, glossy, frizz-free blowout.
