I think they had a circus-like wedding on purpose. What I mean is that they knew they wouldn’t be able to out-run the paparazzi and the leaks and the speculation so they just decided to go with it and turn it into a circus. That’s the only explanation I can come up with. I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to have something just for them now that the tacky spectacle is out of the way. At least the romantic in me is hoping that is what will happen, but the world is in chaos and I am consistently surprised and disappointed so who even knows.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for speaking the truth! When I found out she was getting married at MSG I was absolutely flummoxed. She could have been married *anywhere* in the entire world. Instead the vibes were high school stadium/cafeteria elaborately decorated for prom.
But at the end of the day, no matter how over the top your prom was, it was still prom.

P.S. Love you, love and have all of your books, and regret not hiring you for our kitchen and bathroom remodel instead of a young male designer. Next time!

Some elements in the press:
1) I read a story on HuffPost written by the wife of one of her former music producers who was invited BY TEXT (?) which he (naturally) deleted thinking it was a spoof.

2) Adam Sandler? Someone funny on Threads said she let him make one decision about the wedding… and *that* was his choice.
Ugh.

3) I’d read that she asked and paid another bride for the same weekend at a hotel in Rhode Island near her home? I was/am waiting to hear that their private (real) wedding was there- too late to hope?

It goes without saying that your vision for the wedding is spectacular… maybe for their vow renewal?

Everything about it felt weird. I know the people are famous but a dj and a tv host you’ve met at work once or twice? It’s like me inviting that guy I spoke to twice at the coffee machine.

I can’t get over why you’d choose such a venue when an estate in Rhode Island was an option. Surely she’s rich enough to get a no fly zone for the day? ;-)

Your taste is exquisite and I have all 3 of your books. Erin you were the 1st blog I ever read. You and your hubby were living in your condo. Hmm maybe it was pioneer woman talking about her Marlboro man. Not sure. Anyhoo I fear T&T will never have privacy again. Kinda like princess Diana or Elvis Presley I told my husband I can just hop in my car to get the manicure I can’t afford and not be followed. But I wish them the best. They are adorable. (P.s. I look forward to your reviews on absolutely everything. You put into words very eloquently exactly my thoughts on the wedding. I am fearful but hopeful I’m wrong that going forward she can embrace a some normalcy with a private life. This wedding was worrisome in that regard.

I love what you picked. As with your what-should-have-been red carpet dresses, this is an upgrade on reality. You have beautiful taste and a unique talent to find things that reflect the person but in there best light. No wonder you’re such a successful designer. Thank you for showing up for us!
